WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – The RIT men's track & field team earned 21 points and sit in 6th place out of 55 teams through the first day of the AARTFC Outdoor Track & Field Championships, Wednesday.
WEDNESDAY HIGHLIGHTS
- Sophomore distance runner Jackson Burger placed eight in the 3,000m steeplechase, posting a personal record time of 9:27.01. Burger's previous top mark was 9:40.05 at the Liberty League Championships.
- The 4x400m relay set a program record with a 3:14.28 clocking to take sixth place. The previous best time was 3:14.60, which was set in 2023.
- In the javelin, sophomore Keenan Gosselin placed eighth after posting a throw of 55.90m on the second attempt.
- Junior distance runner Derick Koen won the 5,000m with a personal best time of 14:37.56. Koen's previous best was 14:39.38, which was set at the Liberty League Championships.
