Seven Tigers Named Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving CSC Academic All-District®
ROCHESTER, N.Y. – A total of seven student-athletes from the RIT men's and women's swimming & diving teams were named 2024-25 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District ® selections, announced Tuesday.
The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the pool and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
On the men's side, graduate students Mike Atanasoff, Drew Scheib, and seniors Gellert Kish, and Ben Sippel helped RIT capture it's fourth-consecutive Liberty League title in addition to all four competing in the NCAA Division III Championships.
Graduate student Zoe Masters, senior Anna Peshenko, and sophomore Meghan Black guided the Tigers to a third place finish at this year's Liberty League Championships. Individually, Peshenko placed second in the 200 Breaststroke in addition to swimming legs in the 200 Medley and 200 Freestyle relays that place first and third, respectively. Both Black and Masters swam legs in the 800 Freestyle relay that placed third.
