Three Tigers land Liberty League weekly honors

ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Three RIT student-athletes were honored by the Liberty League with weekly honors announced by the league on Monday. Graduate student Seth Grottenthaler was the Men's Lacrosse Offensive Performer of the Week, junior Alex Zborowski was the Defensive Performer of the Week and first year Ryan Bullock was the Rookie of the Week.

Grottenthaler was named the Most Outstanding Player recording four points on four goals to lead RIT to the Liberty League Championship. He scored a goal in the Tigers 17-6 win over Ithaca in the semifinals. Grottenthaler scored three goals in RIT's 11-10 win over St. Lawrence in the title game. 

Zborowski recorded a 2-0 record, a 9.14 goals-against average and a .538 save percentage to lead RIT to the Liberty League Championship. He made six saves and allowed two goals in 45 minutes of action in the Tigers 17-6 win over Ithaca in the semifinal. Zborowski made eight saves against St. Lawrence in Sunday's title game.

Bullock recorded five points on four goals and an assist to help lead RIT to the Liberty League championship. He shot 6-of-9 and had four ground balls and three caused turnovers in two games for RIT. Bullock had an assists, a ground ball and a caused turnover in the Tigers 17-6 win over Ithaca in the semifinals. He scored a season-high four goals and had three ground balls and two caused turnovers in RIT's 11-10 win over St. Lawrence in the title game.
