Five Tigers named USILA Scholar All-Americans
ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Graduate student Ian Dinga, fifth years Hunter FitzGibbons and Allyn French, graduate student Seth Grottenthaler and fifth year Drew Leahy were named United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Scholar All-Americans, announced Tuesday (July 1).
Dinga, a three-time Liberty League All-Academic selection, is working towards a MS in Technology, Innovation, Management and Entrepreneurship. He recorded career highs in points (57), goals (28) and assists (29). A USILA Honorable Mention All-American and First Team All-Liberty League selection, Dinga finished third on the team in scoring and second in assts.
FitzGibbons is a four-time Liberty League All-Academic selection majoring in mechanical engineering. A USILA Honorable Mention All-American and a Second Team All-Liberty League selection, FitzGibbons grabbed 40 ground balls and caused a career-high 20 turnovers.
French, a three-time Liberty League All-Academic selection majoring in mechanical engineering. He won 169-of-281 faceoffs and led the Tigers with 75 ground balls. A USILA Honorable Mention All-American and a Third Team All-Liberty League selection, French finished eighth in the Liberty League averaging 3.75 ground balls per game.
Grottenthaler is a two-time Liberty League All-Academic selection and is working towards his MBA. A USILA Second Team All-American and a First Team All-Liberty League selections, Grottenthaler tallied 38 points on 26 goals and 12 assists. He finished his career 33rd in career scoring with 144 career points and tied for 21st in career assists.
Leahy is a three-time Liberty League All-Academic selection majoring in mechanical engineering. A USILA Honorable Mention All-American and a Second Team All-Liberty League selection, Leahy scooped up a career-high 61 ground balls and a career-best 19 turnovers.
RIT finished 2025 with a 21-2 record and advanced to the NCAA Semifinals for the fifth straight season.
