Men’s Track & Field finishes third at Liberty League Championships
ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The RIT men's track & field placed third out of eight teams at the 2025 Liberty League Outdoor Championships at the RIT Track & Field Complex.
RIT finished with 155.5 points as RPI took the team title after scoring 318.5 points and Rochester placed second with 185 points.
SATURDAY HIGHLIGHTS
- In the high jump, sophomore Erich Brown placed second as first-year Trevor Krukin took third as the duo each cleared 1.86m. Brown cleared the height on the second attempt, as Krukin made the height on the third attempt. First year Nick Galasso finished tied for sixth with a height of 1.76m.
- The 4x400m relay team of Ryan Senf, Noah Flanders, John Elliot, and Max Stein recorded a combined time of 3:16.09 to finish second.
- Stein won the 400m Hurdles in 53.08 seconds, a facility record.
- Jacen Mitchell was second in the 110m Hurdles with a time of 14.98 seconds with Eric Antonecchia placed fifth (15.65) in the event.
- In the discus, junior Erik Stephany came in fourth with a distance of 41.81m as teammate Keenan Gosselin finished sixth after throwing 41.23m.
FRIDAY HIGHLIGHTS
- Sophomore Jacen Mitchell and junior Eric Antonecchia punched their ticket to the 110m Hurdles final as Mitchell set a facility record with a time of 14.97 seconds. Antonecchia was fifth in the prelims, posting a 15.82 clocking.
- In the 400m Hurdles, senior Max Stein and sophomore Sean Graves placed first and fifth in the prelims to advance to the finals. Stein's time of 53.52 is a facility record.
- Sophomore Keenan Gosselin earned second in the javelin after throwing 60.09m on the final attempt. Senior Andrew Bernacki placed third with a distance of 58.99m
- In the pole vault, senior Noah Koeng and sophomore Ryan Swenson finished fourth and fifth as both vaulters cleared 4.50m.
- First year John Elliot advanced to the 800m finals after taking third in the prelims, crossing the finish line in 1:53.08.
