Women’s Basketball ranks first in 2025-26 Liberty League Preseason Poll

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The RIT women's basketball team enters the year as the Liberty League 2025-26 preseason favorite, collecting 73 points and five first-place votes, announced Friday.

The Tigers return the core of last season's 15-12 team that reached the Liberty League Tournament semifinals.

Sophomore guard Caroline Henderson was named the 2024-25 Liberty League Rookie of the Year after completing a breakout debut season, averaging 13.0 points per game and shot a league-best 42.4 percent from three-point range.

Along with Henderson, junior guard Maddy Ramsgard started all 27 games for RIT last season while averaging 11.2 points per game.

RIT opens the season on the road at Allegheny's Women Leaders Tip Off Tournament tomorrow (Nov. 8) against Chatham at 1 p.m.
