Men's Basketball Coaching Staff Announced

ROCHESTER, NY – RIT Men's Basketball Coach Dominic Parker recently announced the hiring of Mick Kuberka and Terris Sanders as assistant coaches.

Kuberka comes to RIT with over twenty years of coaching experience, having previously served at Hilbert and St. John Fisher. He is also the founder and director of the Buffalo Titans Basketball program, which offers training, clinics, and travel teams in the Buffalo and Rochester areas.

"We are extremely excited to welcome Mick Kuberka to the RIT community," said Parker. "Mick joins us with Division III assistant experience from St. John Fisher and Hilbert. Mick brings with him a history of helping make his teams better."

Kuberka graduated from Lafayette College in 2002 with a bachelor's degree in economics and business. He was a member of the Leopards' basketball team that set the school record for wins in a season (24), won two Patriot League Championships, and played in back-to-back NCAA Tournaments.  Kuberka was inducted to the Lafayette Maroon Club Hall of Fame as a member of those championship teams in 2018.

"Mick will be working with our post players and helping develop our offense," said Parker. "He will be a valuable addition as we continue to grow our players both on and off the court."

Terris "Tee" Sanders will be responsible for recruiting coordination, operations, player development and oversight of social media.

"We are extremely excited to welcome Tee Sanders to the RIT community," said Parker. "Tee joins us with Division I experience at Hampton University and we're fortunate to be adding a coach of his caliber to our staff."

Sanders previously served as Director of Basketball Operations at Hampton while also serving as the head coach of the 2025 team at Wave Basketball Club (VA Beach, VA), and worked in the Hampton Roads area as a player development coach. Players who worked with Coach Tee include Kyrese Mullen (Hampton), Jerry Deng (Florida State), Tyson Brown (Georgia Southern), Marquis Godwin and Scott Spencer (Overseas).

"Tee will be working with our guards and also doing a lot of player development with our players," said Parker. "I am excited to watch him form and develop our players on and off the floor."

In 2020, Sanders joined the DREAM Foundation, which offers a unique mentorship program for underrepresented groups within the sports industry. Specifically, students from Historically Black Colleges and Universities who are interested in a career in sports. This program gives students an opportunity to work alongside numerous event partners and aid in event support, marketing strategy, sponsorship sales, communications and social media.

In addition to coaching at RIT, Sanders serves as a college counselor at Rochester Prep High School.
