ROCHESTER, N.Y. - RIT sophomore Jakub Krbecek was tabbed the Atlantic Hockey America (AHA) Goaltender of the Week, Tuesday.

Krbecek earned the award for the first time. He was named the AHA Rookie of the Week on three occasions last season.

Krbecek combined to stop 42 of 44 shots during a two-game sweep at Colgate, including 28 saves in Saturday's 4-1 win. He also made 14 stops in Friday's 3-1 win.

Also named the AHA Goaltender of the Month yesterday, Krbecek enters the week sixth nationally among qualifying goalies with a .945 save percentage and tied for seventh with a 1.50 goals against average. 

Winners of five-straight games, RIT hosts Mercyhurst for two AHA contests this Friday and Saturday (Nov. 7-8). Faceoffs are set for 7:05 p.m. and 5:05 p.m., respectively.
