Pickering and Favro land Atlantic Hockey America monthly honors
ROCHESTER, N.Y. - RIT sophomore defender Emma Pickering and first year forward Kailey Favro were named the Atlantic Hockey America Defender and Rookie for the month of December announced by the league on Friday.
Pickering tallied two goals two help RIT to a 4-2 come-from-behind win over Lindenwood, December 7. She gave RIT a 3-2 lead on her power play goal at 16:24 of the second period and scored again at 16:17 of the third to extend the Tigers lead to 4-2. Pickering had an assist in the Tigers 5-1 loss to No. 7 Cornell (Dec. 31).
Favro recorded four points on two goals and two assists to help the Tigers to a sweep over Lindenwood (Dec. 6-7). She tallied two goals and won 3-of-5 draws in the Tiger's 9-4 win (Dec. 6), and had two assists in RIT's 4-2 come-from-behind win the following day.
RIT returns to action on Friday (Jan. 3) at Post at 8:00 p.m.
