Women's Hockey falls 3-0 at No. 11 Penn State

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – RIT senior goalie Sarah Coe made 45 saves in the Tigers 3-0 loss at No. 11 Penn State in Atlantic Hockey America action, Friday.
 
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Junior forward Jaidan Fahrny had a shot from the slot at 5:43 of the first period saved by Penn State goalie Katie DeSa.
  • Abby Stonehouse scored at 10:35 of the opening period to give Penn State a 1-0 lead.
  • Brianna Brooks scored 46 seconds into the second period to give the Nittany Lions a 2-0 lead.
  • Senior forward Megan McCormick had a back-handed shot from the slot go just wide of the Penn State net at 6:18 of the second.
  • First year defensewoman Madison Buziak had a shot from the slot saved at 12:29 of the frame.
  • Senior forward Kylie Aquaro had a chance turned aside 7:26 into the third period.
  • Brooks tallied her second goal of the game at 9:07 of the third to increase the Nittany Lions' lead make it a 3-0 final.

  • Penn State outshot RIT 48-18
  • The Tigers went 0-for-2 on the power play, while the Nittany Lions were 0-for-4
