Women's Hockey shuts out Robert Morris, 2-0
MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – RIT senior goalie Sarah Coe picked up her third shutout of the season to lead the Tigers to a 2-0 win over Robert Morris in Atlantic Hockey America action, Friday.
First year forward Kailey Favro tallied a goal, and an assist and sophomore forward Addie Alvarez handed out two assists.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- First year forward Brac Kelley gave RIT a 1-0 lead on her goal at 4:27 of the first period. She skated into the RMU zone, around a Colonials defender and beat Maggie Hatch with a shot between her pads.
- Coe made 12 saves in a scoreless second period.
- The Tigers fired 11 shots on goal in the frame, including a pair from senior defensewoman Jessie Burks, senior forward Kylie Aquaro and sophomore forward Linda Rulle.
- Favro scored a power play goal at 12:20 of the third period to increase the Tiger's lead to 2-0. Aquaro skated around a Robert Morris defender and sent a pass to Favro in the slot. She fired a one-timer past Hatch to give RIT a two-goal lead.
- Coe made four saves in the third period to preserve the shutout.

- The Tigers went 1-for-4 on the power play, while the Colonials were 0-for-2
- Coe finished with 22 saves in net
