Women's Hockey loses 3-2 on the road at No. 11 Penn State

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – RIT first year forwards Brac Kelley and Kailey Favro each scored a goal in the Tigers 3-2 loss at No. 11 Penn State in Atlantic Hockey America action, Saturday.
 
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Katelyn Roberts scored at 11:53 of the first period to give Penn State a 1-0 lead.
  • Abby Stackhouse scored at 6:11 of the second period to give the Nittany Lions a 2-0 lead and Brianna Brooks scored at 7:36 of period to increase Penn State's lead to 3-0.
  • Kelley scored a power play goal at 13:24 of the frame to cut the Penn State lead to 3-1 on a one-timer from the top of the face-off circle.
  • Favro tallied a power play goal 6:50 into the third to make it 3-2, Penn State, scoring off a rebound from the slot to make it a one-goal game.

 
 
GAME NOTES

  • Penn State outshot RIT 25-19
  • The Tigers went 2-for-4 on the power play, while the Nittany Lions were 0-for-2
  • Senior goalie Sarah Coe made 22 saves in net
