Women's Hockey loses 3-0 to Lindenwood
ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The RIT women's hockey team lost 3-0 to Lindenwood Atlantic Hockey America action, Friday.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lindenwood's Ellie Muscedere scored on a rebound off a loose puck in front of the RIT net at 8:01 of the first period to give the Lions a 1-0 lead.
- Junior forward Linda Rulle fired four shots on net in the first period, including a pair of short-handed chances early in the period.
- Molly Henderson scored a power play goal 6:56 into the second period to increase Lindenwood's lead to 2-0.
- Rulle fired a shot from the slot just wide with RIT on the power play midway through the second period.
- Tatiana Blichova scored at 15:37 of the third period to make it a 3-0 final.
GAME NOTES:
- RIT outshot Lindenwood, 39-22.
- The Tigers went 1-for-3 on the power play, while the Lions were 1-for-3.
- Senior goalie Sophia Bellina made 19 saves in net for the Tigers.
