Women's Volleyball swept at Union, 3-0

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – The RIT Women's Volleyball team lost a 3-0 (25-21, 25-14, 25-11) decision at Union in Liberty League action, Friday.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Union opened an 11-4 lead to start the first set, before RIT climbed back withing three, 13-10, with a 6-1 run. The Garnet Chargers later led, 22-17, and moved on to the four-point win to take the first.
  • Union led, 12-5, to start the second and later led, 17-8, for its largest lead of the set. RIT put together a 4-1 to get within six, 18-12, but Union finished with a 7-2 run to earn the nine-point win.
  • Tied, 7-7, in the third, Union finished the match with an 18-4 run to complete the sweep.

RIT travels to Liberty League-rival Bard on Saturday (Oct. 11) for a 2:00 p.m. match.
