Women’s Cross Country takes second place at Highlander Invitational

HOUGHTON, N.Y. – The RIT women's cross country team placed second out of 15 teams at Houghton's Highlander Invitational on Saturday, with junior Kathryn Arbegast leading the Tigers by finishing second out of 182 runners.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Arbegast ran the course with a time of 21:37.6 as fellow juniors Therese Georgia finished 15th (22:47.5) and Rachael Ladd placing 18th (22:54.5).
  • First-year Juliana Cavanaugh came in 22nd for RIT with a time of 23:16.8.
  • Senior Jade Kimmel rounded out the scoring five in 36th place with a time of 23:54.5.
  • The Tigers scored 93 points to finish second behind Misericordia (59 points) and ahead of Brockport (104 points).

 
WHAT'S NEXT
The Tigers complete the regular season next Saturday (Oct. 18) when they will compete in Oberlin's (Ohio) Inter-Regional Rumble.
