OBERLIN, Ohio – The RIT men's cross country team placed second out of a field of 26 teams at the Oberlin Inter-Regional Rumble, Saturday. Senior Derick Koen led the Tigers with a fifth-place individual finish.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Koen crossed the finish line with a time of 25:38.50, with junior Jackson Burger finishing right behind in seventh in 25:39.20.
- First-year Luca Strangis placed 26th with a time of 26:13.20, as junior Sebastian Montalvo came in 28th at 26:22.60.
- Sophomore Spencer Buff rounded out the scoring five for the Tigers, placing 32nd with a 26:26.30 clocking.
- With 95 points, RIT finished behind Case Western (84) and ahead of Kenyon (109).
