Three Tigers land Atlantic Hockey America weekly honors
ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Three RIT student-athletes were honored by Atlantic Hockey America with weekly honors announced by the league, Monday. Senior Kylie Aquaro was the Forward of the Week, sophomore Emma Pickering was the Defender of the Week and senior Sarah Coe was the Goaltender of the Week.
Aquaro tallied a goal and two assists to help RIT to a 4-0 win over Lindenwood in the AHA Quarterfinal. Her goal 6:20 into the first period gave RIT a 1-0 lead. She assisted on Kailey Favro's power play goal at 5:43 of the second period and on Favro's goal at 18:51 of the second.
Pickering recorded two assists in the Tigers 4-0 win over Lindenwood in the AHA Quarterfinal. She assisted on Linda Rulle's power play goal at 12:42 of the second period and Favro's goal at 18:51 of the second to give RIT a 4-0 lead.
Coe made 25 saves in RIT's 4-0 win over Lindenwood in the AHA Quarterfinal. She made six saves in the first, nine in the second and 10 in the third to record her fourth shutout of the season and fifth of her career.
