Men's Soccer loses 3-0 to No. 22 Rochester

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The RIT men's soccer team lost 3-0 to No. 22 Rochester in Tuesday's Rochester Derby.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Kamal Ibrahim scored in the 15th minute off an assist Johnny Makula and Ryan Szymczyk to give Rochester the lead.
  • Jeremiah Anandarajah gave the Yellowjackets a 2-0 lead on his goal in the 39th minute and Makula scored in the 87th minute to make it 3-0, Rochester.
  • First-year forward Roman Mironenko had a shot from the top of the box saved in the 49th minute, while first-year midfielder Adrian Sobczak had a header off a corner kick saved in the 65th minute.
  • Sophomore midfielder Adam Eastman fired a shot in the 77th minute from the top of the box that Rochester keeper, Santino Lupica-Tondo.

 
GAME NOTES

  • Rochester outshot RIT, 14-11
  • Senior goalie Jason Trapp made five saves in net for the Tigers
  • The Tigers had two corner kicks to three for the Yellowjackets
