RIT Athletics Preview: Feb. 17 – Feb. 24
MEN'S and WOMEN'S SWIMMING & DIVING
RIT competes in the Liberty League Championships this week at Ithaca's Kelsey Partridge Bird Natatorium with events starting Wednesday morning at 10 a.m. and runs through Saturday.
The men's team will look to defend their league title, having won the championship the past three seasons.

WOMEN'S TENNIS
The Tigers fell 5-2 at Rochester on Saturday in their lone match of the week. First years Emily Greb and Maya McDaniel won at second and third singles, respectively.
The team is back in action on Wednesday when they host Nazareth inside the Gordon Fieldhouse at 4 p.m.

WOMEN'S LACROSSE
RIT opens the season on Wednesday against Oswego. Due to the winter weather conditions, the game is tentatively set to be played at William Smith's Stiles Field at the Thomas B. Poole and Family Sports Dome.

MEN'S and WOMEN'S INDOOR TRACK & FIELD
The Tigers put together strong showings over the weekend at Nazareth's D3 Elite Meet and Cornell's Kane Invitational.
On the men's side, the 4x400m Relay team of Jack DeFeo, John Elliot, Noah Flanders, and Max Stein placed first with a regional qualifying time of 3:19.60. In the 800m, Elliot set a program record after winning the event with a time of 1:54.95.
The women's 4x400m Relay also took first place as the team of Samantha Crisci, Jorja DeCarlo, Justine Draper, and Caroline Hill finished with a time of 4:05.45, which is a regional qualifying time.
RIT is back in action this Friday at Nazareth's Conference Tune-Up with events starting at 3:30 p.m.

MEN'S HOCKEY
The Tigers look to close out the regular season on a high note after coming away with five points against American International over the weekend.
In a 3-0 win on Friday, first-year goalkeeper Ethan David totaled 22 saves to earn his first-career shutout.
On Saturday, RIT won the overtime shootout as sophomore forward Matthew Wilde scored twice in the game.

MEN'S LACROSSE
No. 3-ranked RIT earned a season-opening 17-13 win over Denison on Saturday. The Tigers were led by senior Clifford Gaston, who tallied five goals and one assist.
The team hits the road this Saturday when they visit Grove City.

RIT will look to shake off a 5-2 loss at Rochester on Saturday when they compete at the Drew Doubles Tournament in Madison, N.J. this Saturday and Sunday.
Against Rochester, first-years Yu Tanimoto and Tyler Mitrovic won at first and sixth singles.

WRESTLING
The Tigers fell 24-20 in a dual match at Oneonta on Saturday. Notable wins included junior Josh Harkless, ranked No. 3 at 285 lb. pinned Andrew Morris 45 seconds in the final match as senior Micheal Glynn III, ranked No. 7 at 149 lb., pinned Luke Leshaj at 1:39.
RIT is set to compete in St. John Fisher's Cardinal Invitational this Sunday.
