Men's Basketball loses to Bard in final game, 104-93

ANNANDALE-ON-BARD, N.Y. – Senior forward Josiah Turner scored a team-high 22 points as RIT men's basketball fell to Bard in their final game of the season, 104-93, Saturday.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

  • With Bard holding a 40-35 lead, RIT hit a trio of three-pointers to take a 44-40 lead with under two minutes to play in the first half.
  • With 15 seconds remaining in the half, senior guard Brock Bowen hit another three-pointer to tie the game at 47-47 going into the break.
  • The Tigers shot out to a 54-47 lead to start the second half, which was their largest lead of the game. The quick 7-0 run was capped off by a three-pointer from Turner.
  • Bard replied with an 8-0 burst of their own to regain the lead with 16:46 on the clock.
  • Trailing by five points with less than seven minutes left to play, Bard scored 16 unanswered points to take control of the game.
  • RIT hit back-to-back threes to cut the lead to six points before Bard tacked on four points down the stretch to secure the win.

GAME NOTES

  • Turner finished the game with his fourth double-double, scoring 22 points off of 9-of-16 shooting and grabbing 10 rebounds.
  • Senior guard Chase Dickens scored 16 points after hitting 4-of-8 shots from beyond the arc.
  • Bowen had a team-high four assists while chipping in 15 points for the Tigers.
