Arbegast and Kim named RIT Athletes of the Week
ROCHESTER, N.Y. - RIT junior Kathryn Arbegast (WXC) and first year Moobin Kim (MSOC) were named the RIT Athletes of the Week announced on September 9, 2025.
Arbegast finished second out of 104 runners to lead RIT to a second-place finish at Brockport's Tom Balon Alumni Classic, Saturday. The junior runner completed the 5k course in a time of 18:38.9.
Kim scored two goals to lead RIT to a 2-1 win at Geneva College, Saturday. Kim scored his first collegiate goal in the 61st minute to give the Tigers a 1-0 lead. He tallied his second goal in the 90th minute to increase RIT's lead to 2-0.
Sept. 3 - Sara Wild (WVB) and Amerie Mills (WSOC)
Wild set the Tigers to a 3-1 record to start the season at the Bearcat Invitational. Averaging 8.59 assists/set, her weekend included a 37 assist/13 dig performance in a 3-2 win over host Saint Vincent as well as a career-high 44 assist/seven dig/four block showing against Westminster.
Mills helped RIT to a 1-0-1 record to start the season. The sophomore forward scored the game-tying goal in the Tigers 2-2 draw against Grove City and recorded an assist in a 2-1 win over Endicott.
