Men's Soccer loses 1-0 to Geneva

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The RIT men's soccer team lost 1-0 to Geneva College in non-conference action, Saturday.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Senior midfielder David Merriman had a chance in the fifth minute. First year defender Adrian Sobczak sent a service into the Geneva penalty box. Merriman got a head to the ball, but Geneva keeper Jaydn Catalon tipped the shot over the cross bar
  • First year forward Idriss Diallo deflected a shot just wide of the net in the 20th minute
  • Senior midfielder had two shots in the 47th minute. The first was blocked, while the second was saved by Catalon
  • Geneva's Caleb Chambers scored in the 69th minute off an assist from Mike Rogers to give the Golden Tornadoes the lead

 
GAME NOTES

  • RIT outshot Geneva, 13-5
  • Senior goalkeeper Jason Trapp made one save
  • The Tigers fired seven corner kicks to two for Geneva
