SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – RIT first year midfielder Julius Jakobs scored his first collegiate goal in the Tigers 1-1 draw at Union in Liberty League action, Saturday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Senior goalie Jason Trapp made three saves in a scoreless first half.
- Senior midfielder Rom Wasserman had the Tigers lone shot on target early in the first half.
- Union's Nate Langlois gave the Garnet Chargers a 1-0 lead on his goal in the 49th minute.
- Jakobs tied the game at 1-1 on his goal in the 75th minute, scoring on the shot low in the center off an assist from junior forward Selorm Dake.
GAME NOTES
- Union outshot RIT 10-7
- Trapp made three saves in net for RIT
- The Tigers had four corner kicks to 10 for the Garnet Chargers
- With the tie the Tigers remain in sixth place in the Liberty League standings with 10 points
