WOMEN'S SOCCER
RIT dropped their Liberty League opener, 2-1, at No. 12 William Smith on Tuesday before finishing their game against Clarkson in a scoreless draw at home on Saturday.
In the loss to the Herons, senior midfielder Jessie Gomez converted a penalty kick in the 77th minute, her second goal of the season.
The Tigers host Nazareth Tuesday (Oct. 1) and Bard on Saturday (Oct. 5).

MEN'S TENNIS
The Tigers competed at the ITA Northeast Regional Championships over the weekend in Madison, N.J.
First year Yu Tanimoto defeated Mark Adler (Yeshiva) 6-0, 6-0 in Friday's opening match before a 3-6, 2-6 loss to Tarun Kowar (Hamilton) in the Round of 32.
Sophomore Alec Turcotte was a 6-2, 6-3 winner over NYU's Nithin Sankar in his opening match, but lost 1-6, 0-6 to Archit Yemula (RPI) in the Round of 32.
RIT returns to action on Wednesday (Oct. 2) against Allegheny at 4 p.m.

WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL
RIT went 4-0 over last week with wins against Nazareth 3-0 (25-20, 25-20, 25-20), Skidmore 3-1 (25-22, 25-18, 21-25, 25-20), St. Lawrence 3-0 (25-22, 25-18, 25-20), and Plattsburgh 3-2 (20-25, 22-25, 25-18, 25-20, 15-9).
Senior outside hitter Samantha Cox logged a team-high 16 kills on 30 swings with only one error for a .500 attack percentage in the five-set match against Plattsburgh.
The Tigers have won nine straight matches, which is the longest since a 15-0 stretch in 2021.
RIT is home this Friday (Oct. 4) when they host Alfred State at 6 p.m.

WOMEN'S HOCKEY
RIT opened their 2024-25 season at home with a pair of wins against Assumption over the weekend. The Tigers picked up shutout wins, beating the Greyhounds 3-0 on Friday and 5-0 on Saturday.
Goalkeepers Sophia Bellina and Sarah Coe each earned wins with both keepers making 11 saves for RIT.
Sophomore forward Addie Alvarez scored twice in Friday's game as first-year forward Ireland Stein scored once in both games.
RIT travels to take on Union Friday (Oct. 4) and Saturday (Oct. 5).

Coming off their fourth NCAA Tournament appearance in the Division I era last season, RIT begins the 2024-25 campaign on the road this weekend.

WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY
RIT senior Sierra Danieu finished14th out of 255 runners to lead the women's cross country team to a third place finish out of 22 teams at the Harry F. Anderson Invitational at Roberts Wesleyan on Saturday.
Danieu was the top Division III finished, finishing the 5k course with a time of 18:08.4 as sophomore Kathryn Arbegast placed 17th with a time of 18:18.2.
The Tigers were the top Division III team with 113 points as Cornell won with 18 points and Roberts Wesleyan taking second with 107 points.
RIT will run in the Kara Hall Memorial Invitational at Fredonia next Saturday (Oct. 5) at 11 a.m.

MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY
RIT junior Evan Owens placed 28th out of 334 runners to lead the men's cross country team to a ninth place finish out of 25 teams at the Harry F. Anderson Invitational at Roberts Wesleyan on Saturday.
Owens completed the 8k course with a time of 25:42.9 to lead the Tigers.
RIT will run in the Kara Hall Memorial Invitational at Fredonia next Saturday (Oct. 5) at 12 p.m.
