PITTSFORD, N.Y. – The RIT men's tennis team defeated Nazareth, 7-0 in non-conference action, Saturday.
DOUBLES:
- Sophomore Alec Turcotte and first-year Yu Tanimoto defeated Griffin Bond and Max Funiciello, 6-1 at first doubles
- Senior Joel Pho and junior Gabriel Escobar were 6-3 winners over Noah Britton and Chris Benedict at second doubles and senior Christian Berko teamed up with first year Alexander Sinclair to pick up a 6-0 win over Pierro Ntonga and Enoch Li at third doubles
SINGLES:
- Sophomore Luke Weber defeated Bond 6-1, 6-2 at first singles, while first-year Tyler Mitrovic defeated Funiciello 6-0, 6-1 at second singles
- Junior Brian Bork was a 6-2, 6-4 winner over Ntonga at third singles and senior Max Chang defeated Britton 6-2, 6-2 at fourth singles
- Sophomore Anthony Lounder defeated Li in straight sets at fifth singles and sophomore Ben Walerstein was a 7-5, 6-4 winner over James Hawkins at sixth singles
