Two Tigers land Liberty League weekly accolades
ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Two RIT student-athletes were honored by the Liberty League with weekly honors. Sophomore Katherine Killian was named the Women's Lacrosse Defensive Performer of the Week and junior Jackson Rusiecki was the Baseball Performer of the Week.
Killian caused four turnovers, grabbed six ground balls and won 11 draws to help RIT to a 1-1 record last week. The sophomore defender had a ground ball, a caused turnover and won three draws in the Tigers 13-11 loss at Brockport, Wednesday. Killian caused three turnovers, grabbed five ground balls and won eight draws in RIT's 16-7 win over RPI, Saturday.
Rusiecki helped guide RIT take 2-of-3 against St. Lawrence over the weekend. Rusiecki went 6-of-10 at the plate over the three games for the Tigers. The junior hit a triple and two doubles while scoring four runs and recording six RBI.
