Women's Hockey loses 2-1 in OT at Robert Morris
MOON TOWNSHIP, PA – RIT first year defender Riley Gramlich scored her first collegiate goal in the Tigers 2-1 overtime loss at Robert Morris, Friday.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Emma Goding scored a power play goal at 14:43 of the first period to give the Colonials the lead.
- Senior goalie Sophia Bellina made 13 saves in a scoreless second period.
- The Tigers fired 12 shots on net in the second period, including three from junior forward Addie Alvarez.
- Gramlich tied the game at 1-1 on her power play goal 3:40 into the third period. Sophomore forward Ireland Stein and senior forward Jaidan Fahrny each had an assist on the play.
- RIT killed off a five-minute major midway through the third period.
- Junior forward Linda Rulle had her shot saved by Robert Morris goalie, Maggie Hatch at 13:04 of the third period.
- Bellina made 15 stops in the third period.
- Jesscia McKinnon scored 28 seconds into overtime to make it a 2-1 final.
GAME NOTES:
- Robert Morris outshot RIT, 36-32.
- The Tigers went 1-for-3 on the power play, while the Colonials were 1-for-4.
- Bellina made 34 saves in net for the Tigers.
