ROCHESTER, N.Y. - RIT junior swimmer Anna Peshenko was named the Liberty League Swimmer of the Year, announced Friday.
Peshenko competed at the NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships for the third-straight year and earned All-American Honorable Mention after placing 15th in the 200 breaststroke final. She took home league titles in the 400 IM, the 100 breaststroke and the 200 breaststroke at the Liberty League Championships in February. Peshenko was named Liberty League Swimmer of the Week three times this season and was named Co-Swimmer of the Year last season.
RIT finished with a 4-2 record in dual meets and placed second at the Liberty League Championships.
