ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Two members of the RIT women's tennis team were named to the 2024 Liberty League All-Conference team announced Tuesday, May 20. First year Kira Kronenberg was named Rookie of the Year and was a First Team Singles selection, while she and classmate Maya Clinard were Second Team Doubles pick.
Kronenberg posted a 19-5 overall record, including a 14-2 mark in dual-match play, at first singles. She compiled a league-best 6-1 mark at number one singles in conference dual matches, and was a five-time Liberty League Rookie of the Week honoree, earning the honor three consecutive weeks (April 15-29). She was second in the league with 14 dual match singles wins, second among all Liberty League number one singles and was second in all singles victories (19). She capped off her rookie campaign ranked third in Region II and among the top-40 in Division III (37th).
Kronenberg and Clinard combined to record a 12-7 doubles record. The duo went 10-5 in dual matches, including a 4-2 record against Liberty League opponents. They were third in the league with 10 wins in conference play, including an 8-7 win over RPI's Lorna Flores Gozalez and Krisia Flores Gonzalez late in the season.
