Women’s Track & Field takes fifth through first day of Liberty League Indoor Championships

ITHACA, N.Y. – The RIT women's track & field team finished the first day of the Liberty League Indoor Championships sitting in fifth place.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Senior Allison Regnante placed third in the Long Jump with a leap of 5.39m, which is just shy of her personal best of 5.44m.
- Regnante also qualified for the 60 Hurdles final after winning her heat with a time of 9.25 seconds. The senior's career best time in the event is 9.23 seconds. Junior Rania Sabri qualified for the finals after recording the sixth fastest time in the prelims and personal best, 9.26 seconds.
- Senior thrower Emily DiMarco and junior Marinna Heichberger placed third and fourth in the shot put with regional qualifying throws of 12.60m and 12.11m, respectively.
- Sprinter Caroline Hill finished fourth in the 400 with a regional qualifying time of 59.43 seconds.
- Rachel Kulp set a program record with a time of 7.90 seconds in the 60 prelims, besting the previous record of 7.91 that was set by Hill in 2023.
